2003 Custom Limited Edition “Humpback Whale”

 Model 500, Custom Tenor 4-String, Serial #49803.  Premium grade, highly figured, curly Koa back and sides, with Master Grade Alaskan Spruce top.  Curly Koa top, back, and fingerboard binding, with paua abalone top and back purfling and rosette.  Ebony bridge and fingerboard, with mother of pearl whale tails and silver thread ocean wave position markers.  Bone nut and saddle. Ebony face plate with pearl “Ko’olau” logo in headstock, and inlay of a breaching Humpback Whale,  hand cut and etched using pearl, silver, and gold.  Gold Grover tuners with polished ebony buttons. High Gloss finish.
