Aaron Mahi
Aaron Mahi, known throughout Hawaii, in fact, throughout the world as Hawaii's bandleader, for more than 24 years, between 1981 and 2005, conducted the Royal Hawaiian Band, and during 1988 to 1995 was the conductor of the Honolulu Symphony Orchestra. Now in retirement, Mr. Mahi seems as busy as ever with music, enjoying avenues too time consuming during his years with Royal band and the Honolulu Orchestra, as can be seen in the photos playing bass and 'ukulele. Besides miscellaneous solo performances, Aaron Mahi plays regular gigs with his friends Martin Pahinui and George Kuo at the Marriott Waikiki Hotel. |
