October 15, 1999 John
Kitakis Dear John and Family, I'd like to commend you on your talented craftsmenship. My Ko'olau ukulele has echoed precisely the sounds that I had envisioned. The crystal clarity of the Ko'olau ukulele is one of the most captivating sounds I've heard and reminds me of the ukuleles of yesteryears. The Ko'olau ukulele has such great intonation throughout the fretboard that it captures the round low tones as well as the sharp high tones. When I first strummed my ukulele, man .... I had a hard time putting it down. In fact, many of my colleagues were so impressed with the Ko'olau that they didn't want to return it back to me. This versatile instrument has allowed me to express my numerous music interests such as Hawaiian, Jazz, and Reggae. Whether it's played live on stage or recorded, the Ko'olau ukulele will undoubtedly catch everyone's attention. I've already used it in the studio and received exceptional results. Again, mahalo for your gifted hands in creating a timeless ukulele that people will enjoy for many generations. David "Chino" Montero |
