Circa 1940-50's Martin Tenor Ukulele.

Instrument was taken to Vietnam in during 1968-69. The owner of this 'ukulele, who resided in Hawaii, was killed apparently with the ukulele in his possession at the time because the neck and body had many pieces of scrapnel deeply embedded in the wood, which had to be chiseled out and filled, many cracks repaired, and the entire instrument was refinished. The 'ukulele was returned to his family, who retained it in safekeeping for over 30 years before having it restored.
