Model 500SP Hawaiian Sealife. 

  This is a spectacular custom limited edition model made for 2005.  This particular instrument is a Concert size ukulele, however, it could be made as a Soprano, Tenor, or Baritone size ukulele, or if desired, any size of guitar that we offer.

Please note that any future instruments made with this same "Hawaiian Sealife" theme will be designed and inlayed in a similar style, but not exactly the same, in order to retain each instruments individual character and future "one of a kind" value.

 Inlay materials used are white, black, pink, and gold pearl, green and blue abalone, and many types of wood marquetry.

 The faceplate begins "above water" with a scene of clouds and mountains, then flowing to the depths of the sea with various turtles and tropical fish swimming beautifully down the fingerboard. 

   Our Ko'olau logo is cut from a combination of Tahitian white and black pearl.      

 Tuners are the highest quality Waverly Gold open gear, with real black pearl buttons.

 The body is made of the most premium grade curly Koa available, with abalone purfling inlay bordered with ebony wood around the top, back, neck, fingerboard tongue, and up the center of the back.   

 Faceplate, fingerboard, and bridge are mastergrade cuts of ebony wood.  Bridge pins are ebony with pearl inlay dots.  And of course, to further enhance its volume, projection, and naturally sweet tone, final set up included a set of Ko'olau Professional Gold Strings.  All Ko'olau instruments come with a custom made hardshell case.
