LARRY SPALDING

I first saw and heard a Ko'olau ukulele at Koponos during one of the great Tuesday nights with Ledward Ka'apana. The sound just knocked me out. Led let me play a few tunes on it and backed me up on guitar. Too much fun! Through him I met John at Ko'olau and ordered an eight string baritone. I went down many times to check on its progress. I have had it over a year now and am just realizing its potential.

My main thing has been harmonica but I am getting to the point where I can hold my own on uke. I play in a blues band sometimes and with the solid body I can crank it up and not have to worry about feedback.

I play at O'toole's a few times a month on blues Thursdays. Come on down and check out this fantastic instrument!

A Hui Hou!
